Mark Roman & Howard Green: Two Highly Sought After Free Agents
First, we got Jarvis Green signed with the Denver Broncos. Now, Elias Sports Management has two other highly sought after free agents - Mark Roman and Howard Green - who are looking for a team to win with.
Howard Green was a restricted free agent, but the Jets rolled the dice and didn't tender him, and now he's an unrestricted free agent. So we've been fielding calls from all over the country as we try to figure out whether he's going to find a new home or return to the Jets. One thing's for certain, though... With him being a big run-stuffin' nose tackle (aka "someone who's hard to find in a 3-4), he's gonna be moved pretty quickly.
Mark Roman is a vet who's looking for an opportunity to go to a team that has a chance to win a championship. He's speedy, can play free safety, corner, strong safety, and is such a team leader that you just might mistake him for an on-the-field coach.
There's been a lot of interest in both players, but, as we did with Jarvis, we're kinda sitting back and being patient, because with there not being a salary cap, a lot of teams aren't rushing into making certain moves. In fact, we're not even gonna go on any visits until we get solid offers on both guys.
For now, that's all the news I have. I just wanted to take a moment to let everyone know that we've got a couple on-and-off-the-field leaders who are ready to make the teams they ultimately play for veeeeery happy. I'll make sure to keep you posted on new developments, as they happen...

Congratulations for Jarvis!
Congratulations for Jarvis! It looks like he'll have a familiar face with Josh McDaniels coaching in Denver. And they look poised to have a tremendous season - Good luck to him with his new team.
It's definitely an interesting off-season with the uncapped year. Is that your perspective, that teams are being very cautious with the uncapped year? How does the possibility of a lockout affect teams' spending? Do you expect a flurry of activity at a certain point? And do you think that many teams will end up spending more or less than previous years?
I'm sure both Mark Roman and Howard Green will find good new homes as they are both excellent, hard-working players.
