Different season, same story
Kelvim Escobar will start the season on the Disabled List for the Mets. Is anyone surprised by this, given the Mets recent luck with injuries, and the fact that Escobar has pitched exactly 5 innings since 2007?
Signing Escobar was a good move, relatively low risk/high reward, he would have been a fantastic plan B or C in the bullpen/back end of the rotation, however he was the Mets plan A, and were relying on him and Igarashi to be the bridge to K-Rod, and unfortunately for the Mets, once again, they are already having injury issues where they can least afford them.

I heard on WFAN this morning
I heard on WFAN this morning that Ed Coleman saw K-Rod and told him that's what he thought it looked like his eye was red and that is resembled Pink Eye. K-Rod told Ed the Met's doctors told him his wasn't and that he just needed some drops. Later on it was discovered K-Rod has Pink Eye...
Fire the whole medical staff, then fire Omar and hope that Jose Reyes didn't "knowingly" use HGH after recently talking to the FED's... Such is the life of a mets fan...
