Table Rock Conclusion

Hands down another tough tournament for the year. My 8-lb 8-oz - 4 fish sack rounded out my weight at 18-1 for a three day total. Extremely low weights brought in considering such a phenomenal lake. I moved up over twenty places and landed in 39th….a good start in the point standing race. My co angler for Day 3, Shane Melton won the armature division with this 6 pound hawg Friday. Wish she was in my side of the livewell. There were quite a few of us that took a beating out of the back of the boat this weekend….easy to do this time of year, but I'm happy that he won.

Still scraping frost and bundled up like a polar bear, but its Day 2 and time to head to the lake.

Lonely Girl

Good news for day one - I had a fish. Bad news for day one - I only had 1 fish. She was a lonely gal in my livewell, but she's the right size 4-lbs, 14-oz. This weight landed me in the middle of the pack. With two more days of full field competition this rodeo is a marathon not a sprint. There is still hope to make the cut - big girls live in this lake and the river bite from day one could be picked clean. Bright skies and no wind on Day 2 won't help any - it can make fishing really tough.

Table Rock Lake - Missouri

My latest Podcast with Bass Edge is right in line with the water conditions we’re combating during practice on Table Rock. The water is very cold, and getting them to bite is a real challenge. I don’t believe that conditions will improve by the weekend. They might even get tougher if we have the bright blue bird skies predicted.

I’ve had a few quality bites over the last several days of practice and hoping to expand on that today while checking out new water. There are some big girls in this lake….I’m hoping to locate a few.
