Don't blame her! She feels bad enough.

OK, so unless you live under a rock you've probably heard about Jeanette Pohlen's game-winning layup to send Stanford to the Final Four. It was legit. With 4.4 seconds left in the game she got the two points the lady Cardinal needed.

It was a tough loss for Xavier. And that, my friends, is an understatement. Because Xavier had the Final Four trip in its hands. Twice.

If you haven't seen it, check it out on ESPN here.

Let's hear it for No. 2

Hello, fellow Bloggers.

I've been MIA the past few weeks. (Believe it or not, I have work to do outside of what distracts me on the Internet! GASP!) But fear not. I'm back today.

So if you've read some of my other stuff, you know that I'm a student at OU. I work for our athletic department, so I'm pretty involved in the goings on of our basketball teams.

And it's now that special time of year. March Madness is finally upon us. Love it. And that means so are upsets. (Kansas?! Whhhyyy?!!)

And this one's for the ladies

Tonight I bring you a recap of women's basketball! I know I've probably mislead you with my men's coverage of late, but I actually attend more women's games then men's.

My official duty at tonight's game was keeping the NCAA shot chart, so that had to take precedence over my blogging. Then immediately following, I had to get press conference quotes. As a result, I bring you this post-game recap a little later than usual. (But as you can see, I'm not slacking. A girl's gotta work!)

FInal score: KU 81, OU 68. That's a wrap.

An expected loss against a good team

So more predictability as we continue this game.

But one stat perks me up! OU has actually outscored Kansas in the second half by two! (That's with a little more than six minutes left.) I mean we're still gonna lose, but I've learned to appreciate the small things. (Like when the TiVo tapes one of my season pass shows when I don't know it's on! Those days are like Christmas at our apartment. And yes, Christmas. Hopefully I don't offend any of you non-Christmas celebrators.)

Second half ... predictable

The good news about this game? Kansas is No. 1! I'm one of those people who believes in the good of the Big 12. (Although, it's always hard to cheer for Texas.) And as of now, five teams from the Big 12 Conference are in the AP top 25! (I will note that Oklahoma State got some votes, too. Only four, but still.)

If OU is going to have a losing season, that's the kind of conference I want it to be in. Very proud of the Big 12.

What the what?!

During the halftime report, senior guard Sherron Collins was just compared to Tim Tebow.
Eww, eww and more eww. This is a slap in the face to pretty much all OU fans.

OK, the real score = 44 to 29 at the half
