New York, NY -- The New York City Thunderdogs unveiled a newly redesigned uniform and website in anticipation of the upcoming 2010 season. The Dogs enter their eighth season competing in the WRWBL having played in their nearly all-black uniforms.

In 2010 the Dogs will forgo their gray pants and black jerseys for a more dynamic look including white pants with single black piping and a completely redesigned jersey that is a blend of the club's black and gold color scheme. The jersey style was inspired by those worn by the Commodores of Vanderbilt University.

Thunderdog All-Star and WRWBL MVP runner-up, Will Smith has been chosen to participate in an ad to promote the league and the league's 2010 All-Star game at the Hudson Valley Renegades' stadium. As part of the league's promotional effort, the WRWBL will be given ad space in every program the Renegades' sell during the 2010 season. 8 players have been chosen to be included in the ad. Smith is the lone Thunderdog representative.

Coming off the most successful season in team history, the Thunderdogs will have a slightly new look up the middle next summer. The 2009 all-star, Dan Linden, will not be returning to the team due to his Vet school commitments. He informed the team of this prior to the '09 campaign.

Lyle Friess, a utility player who delivered some clutch hits down the stretch including a 6 RBI game in the Semi-finals against the Outlaws, has informed the team that he will most likely not return due to coaching commitments.
